Pietro Elia Maddalena studied ceramics at the West Surrey College of Art & Design in England. After two more years of work at Dartington Workshop, he returned to Italy where in 1980 he established a studio and founded La Meridiana, the International School of Ceramics in Tuscany.
Studio 4 Art
Studio 4 Art has a drop-in studio for people of all ages. Monday-Friday 10:00-6:00 and Thursday’s open until 8:00. Drop-in studio also available Saturday’s from 3:00-6:00. Learn about clay/ceramics/pottery in weekly workshops for children 2 years through teens. Check website for detailed information. Studio 4 Art is also available for parties, events and bridal/baby showers.
Xiem [sim] Clay Center
Xiem [sim] Clay Center comprises a modern ceramics studio providing 24/7 access for members, an education center for the ceramic arts and a fine art ceramics gallery and store featuring innovative, contemporary, fine art pottery and sculpture. It is located in the heart of Pasadena, California and was founded by Kevin Xiem Nguyen in 2003.
