Long and lean, the Large Platter Rib is designed to provide good compression when making plates and platters. It enables proper compression of the clay to avoid cracks that sometimes develop. The Large Platter Rib is made with a stiff polymer but still offers some flexibility.
All of Mud’s polymer ribs are made of flexible materials that are resistant to wear and the formation of burrs. We’ve found that with general use, this rib material becomes burnished over time. The Large Platter Rib is available in the following flexibility options:
Green – Medium
Black – Extra Firm
