Amaco V-325 Baby Blue Velvet Underglaze – Pint

Baby Blue Velvet underglaze is a soft light blue color that is bright and pastel at cone 05 (1st image), becomes darker at cone 5 (2nd image), and is darker sky blue at cone 10 (image 3). A clear glaze over Baby blue will accentuate the color at cone 05 but begins to burn out some of the color at cone 5 and cone 10.

Saturated color, dependability, and versatility make Velvets as popular for professionals as they are for children. Velvets fire true-to-color as a Cone 05/06 underglaze or fired to Cone 6.
Some colors remain true as high as Cone 10.

Try two finish possibilities: When left unglazed these colors have the rich textural appearance of velvet; when covered with AMACO Clear Transparent Matte or Clear Gloss they intensify in color. Can be easily applied to wet clay, greenware, or mature Cone 04 bisque (1063°C / 1945°F*)
